abstract

the formation constants and gibbs free energy for the interaction of rnsnclm (n = m = 2, r = me, ph, n-bu or n = 4, m = 0, r = ph) compounds as acceptors, with ml complexes (h2l = n,n'-bis(salicylidene)-2-aminobenzylamine (salabza-h2) and its derivatives, m = mn2+ or zn2+), as donors in n,n'-dimethylformamide (dmf) as solvent were studied. these parameters were measured by using uv-vis spectrophotomety titration for 1:1 adduct formation of the selected complexes at 25 (±0.1) °c in the 200-500 nm regions. the trend of adduct formation constants between metal schiff base complexes as donors and tin(iv) as acceptor decreases as follow: me2sncl2> ph2sncl2 > n-bu2sncl2> ph4sn [m(5-ome-salabza)]>[m(salabza)]>[m(5-br-salabza)]>[m(5-no2-salabza)] zn > mn

Sn(IV) Compounds Interaction with Metal-Schiff Base Complexes

The formation constants and Gibbs free energy for the interaction of RnSnClm (n = m = 2, R = Me, Ph, n-Bu or n = 4, m = 0, R = Ph) compounds as acceptors, with ML complexes (H2L = N,N'-bis(salicylidene)-2-aminobenzylamine (salabza-H2) and its derivatives, M = Mn2+ or Zn2+), as donors in N,N'-dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent were studied. These parameters were measured by using UV-vis spectrop...

Synthesis and Characterization of Metal Complexes with New Unsymmetrical Schiff Base Ligand Derived from 2-Aminoethanethiol

A new unsymmetric thioether diamine N - ( 2 - ( 2 - aminophenylthio) ethyl) benzene - 1 , 2 - diamine was prepared through the nucleophilic substitution of cysteaminium chloride with 1 - chloro - 2 - nitrobenzene and then the nitro groups of prepared compuond converted to the amine by zinc powder and ammonium chloride. Then, unsymmetric Schiff bass ligand 2 - ((( 2 - (( 2 - (( 2 - (( 2 - hydrox...

Spectrophotometric Study of New Schiff Base Complexes with Some Metal Ions in Methanol Solution

The complexation reactions between N,N'-3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanebis (salicylaldimine) [saldioxen(I)] and Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) were studied spectrophotometrically in methanol solution at 25 °C. The stoichiometry of the complexes were obtained as 2:1 and 1:1 sadioxen-metal ion using mole ratio method. The formation constants of the complexes were determined, a...

Schiff Base Metal Complexes for Second Order Nonlinear Optics

118 Aprile ‘10 N onlinear optics (NLO) is the study of all the phenomena that occur from the interaction of intense light with matter [1, 2]. The interaction with a nonlinear optical material causes a modification of the optical properties of the system, and the next photon that arrives sees a different material. Typically only laser light is sufficiently intense to generate NLO phenomena; ther...

Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Activity of Schiff Base Metal Complexes

New coordination complexes of Co, Ni and Zn with Schiff base N’-((2-thioxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-3yl)methylene) pyridine-4-carbohydrazide have been synthesized and characterized by several techniques using elemental analysis (C, H, N), IR spectra and 1HNMR spectra. The new Schiff base has been synthesized by the reaction of pyridine-4-carbohydrazide and 2-thioxo-1,2dihydroquinoline-3-carbaldehyd...
